Nose: Honey toasted oats, lemon sherbets and dry grass lead. Toasted oak and dry nutmeg aromas arise among mellow malt and vanilla elements.

Palate: Crisp smooth spice trickles through milk chocolate and caramel shortbread. A hot flash of spearmint emerges among ripe apples and dry oak.

Finish: Creamy vanilla and buttery malt linger.

Overall: Soft, well balanced and very rewarding.

Pearse The Original is the entry level expression from the core range of the Pearse Lyons Distillery. A blended Irish Whiskey, malt and grain, drawn entirely from ex-bourbon barrel stock that is about three to five years old.
